Need better ways to lead others? To do your big job?

Got a wheel you want to reinvent?  Want to turn yours with more joy?

Perfect.  Let’s talk.

Ted

People in giant jobs (provosts, their presidents, etc, usually want to work one-on-one.  And nobody’s job is small anymore.

But coaching pod’s (below) add a peer and a lovely way to grow and grow together.

Coaching Pods

A pod is two or three people with common interests, pursuits, and challenges working to make progress and explore possibilities.

Like you, your pod mates are:

  • Leaders and at a private school
  • An entrepreneur or artist
  • In their twenties or thinking about retirement

As in one-on-one coaching, a pod offers enough time to get into the details of your situation but to do so alongside someone living the ins and outs of your experience.

You get focus and and camaraderie as you:

  • Address overwhelm
  • Take on the isolation of position (between administrators and teachers, for instance)
  • Clarify vision
  • Improve practice  . . . as a leader or teacher or in managing the drama going on around you

Pods usually meet once a week for a month with a fifth meeting a month later.

Pods cost between $500 and $5000 total

I'm in my second year of a Pod and my time with Ted and my coaching pod partner feels almost sacred. Each session uncovers or releases essential insights as we share what's working for us or what's keeping us stuck. It's multi-faceted, expansive collaborative coaching that I always look forward to. Ted has a way of facilitating the interplay of life and work that reminds us of our humanity and keeps us moving forward in smart, practical ways. I've learned to be a better listener, partner, educator, and entrepreneur. This is unconventional coaching at its best.

The Coaching Pod was a safe and exciting space for me to reflect about my role in the world and to gain clarity about what really matters. Now, I am not only more effective in my responsibilities, but I am happier with my approach. I loved supporting my fellow Pod members and the time I spent with the Pod is proving to be invaluable.

We started the pod thinking that we would enhance our current work endeavors, but the process turned into so much more – a chance to better understand the value of the choices we make for professional work and careers. Ted asks questions that take the conversation in unexpected directions. He also asks that we listen carefully to each other and reflect on what we hear. His partner-matching was spot on and I have gotten much more than I expected from the experience.

Ted’s been facilitating (in our pod) deep reflection through the insightful questions he poses, wisdom he shares, and “homework” he assigns. Our pod is an honest space where all of us can engage in conversation to facilitate each other’s growth.
